I'd like to say "Thank you" to everyone who has or will support my work here on D.A.
I'm just a guy, like you (unless you're a member of the elegant sex
; then read: "I'm just a guy. And behalf of all of us guys, I'm sorry, please forgive us, and feel free to beat the really bad ones. Use crowbars."
). I've heard a lot of praise, questions, and critiques since my livinglightningrod.deviantart.…
(Pileus Suite) was featured by the %Rainmeter
group. I'm incredibly thankful to them, and sincerely grateful for each encouragement, question, and criticism. I'd like to say- if I
can pick Rainmeter up, figure it out, and come up with something, then anyone
I'm honored that you like what I've made, that you would ask me to help out, or that you'd show me the faults and problems. I've tried to respond to everyone, whether to say "thank you," "try this," "I have no idea," "yeah, you're right. I'll try to fix it,"
or whatever seemed to fit.
From now on, though, I'm going to bottleneck all
my communication through my account here, ~livinglightningrod
, or the %Rainmeter
group's page. There's basically two reasons for this, and I'm sure you can understand. 1) Life is getting busier and more complicated for me, and the less time I have to spend bouncing around pages the better, and 2) there's just too much smut and crap here on DeviantArt, ready to jump out and impose itself on an unwary surfer (No, not anything in your
gallery or faves. It's those other
guys and gals over there
.). I don't want any of that. I really don't. I've already taken a lot of steps to minimize it, and this is the next one.
I just felt you might like to know my reasons, and how best to get a hold of me from now on:
on my page, submissions, journals, etc.
- Comment or ask around on %Rainmeter
's page! There are a lot more, wiser, smarter, better-looking people there than me!
- If you've got a specific question about one of my configs, read the description under it first. If that doesn't answer it, then email me at the address I put in the readme and all the configs' .INI files, or do one of the above steps.
- For general help and information about Rainmeter, you can always try rainmeter.net/RainCMS/
(Rainmeter.net) or the www.rainmeter.net/forum/index.…
(Rainmeter forums), and of course I'll leave my own livinglightningrod.deviantart.…
(journal FAQ) up for everyone (but really, you can find much more expert help out there, from nicer, handsomer people than me).
, I'll probably respond as much as I do to that curious 'llama craze' going around (which is to say, 'not at all'
). I'm sorry if it's less convenient for you, but I'm sure you understand. Or you'll deal with it. Or you won't.
And that's it.
